The Founder

Saugment was founded by Joseph Feliciano, whose background includes more than a decade of service in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps and nearly seven years in private-sector protective operations.

His experience spans investigations, executive protection, crisis response, and team leadership, supporting Fortune 500 executives and public figures in complex environments. Through that work, one pattern became clear: the most valuable lessons in this field are often learned in real time, but rarely articulated in a structured, professional way.

Joseph later earned an MBA in Operational Crisis Management, strengthening his approach to leadership, strategic thinking, and risk assessment. Yet the most meaningful insights did not come from textbooks. They came from responsibility, accountability, and decision-making under pressure.

Saugment was built from that recognition. It was not created to offer doctrine or tactical instruction. It was created to translate operational experience into professional development, to articulate lessons often learned informally and provide a space to refine thinking deliberately.
